Who We Are
We Do One Thing, and We Do It Here
We are a local team based in Peterborough. We build pickleball courts for homeowners, schools, clubs, municipalities and property managers across this region.
Pickleball took off around here over the last few years. You see it at the parks, at the community centres, and increasingly in backyards from Bridgenorth to Millbrook. We watched the same thing happen and decided to focus on doing one job properly instead of adding courts to a list of ten other services.
That focus matters more than it sounds. A sport court is not a patio. The slope has to be right to a fraction of a percent. The base has to be built for frost. The coating has to go on a fully cured slab in the right weather window. A general contractor who pours a court once every couple of years is learning on your project.
We are not a national franchise. We live here, we work here, and our reputation in this county is the only marketing that actually matters to us.

What You Can Expect From Us

Workmanship first
We take base preparation and drainage seriously because those two things decide whether a court lasts five years or twenty. Everything above them is finish work.
We compact in lifts. We set the slope before anything gets poured. We place control joints deliberately. We let concrete cure fully before a coating touches it. None of this shows in a photo, and all of it shows in year eight.

Quality materials
We use proven acrylic surfacing systems and weather-rated hardware rather than the cheapest thing available. Court coatings vary enormously in how many seasons they hold their colour and their grip.
If your budget is tight we would rather talk about a smaller court built properly than a bigger one built with materials that fail early. We will tell you what we are using and why.

Clear communication
You get one point of contact for the whole job. You will know what is happening at each stage, what happens next, and what is holding things up if something is.
We answer the phone. We return calls. If weather pushes the schedule, you hear it from us before you notice it yourself.

Attention to detail
Straight lines. Clean edges. Net posts plumb and set to the correct height. A tidy site at the end of every day rather than at the end of the job.
The finish is what you look at every time you walk into the yard for the next two decades. It is worth getting right.

Reliable scheduling
The building season in Ontario runs roughly May to October. That window is tight, so we plan carefully and we do not overbook it.
When we tell you a start date, we mean it. When weather changes things, which it will at some point, you get a call rather than silence.

Local knowledge
Soil around Peterborough County changes from sand to heavy clay within a few kilometres. Frost depth, drainage patterns and what a site needs vary accordingly.
We check what is actually under your yard instead of assuming, and we build the base for what we find.
Our Approach
Straight Answers, Even the Unwelcome Ones
Some of the most useful conversations we have end with us talking a customer out of something.
If your yard genuinely will not take a court that plays well, we would rather say so at the site visit than take a deposit and hand you something disappointing. If your existing court has a failing slab, we will tell you that resurfacing it is money down the drain, even though resurfacing is easier work for us than the honest alternative.
If a smaller court, a phased build or waiting a season is the smarter move for you, we will say that too.
Things we will always raise before you sign
- Noise. Pickleball is loud in a way people do not expect. If your court will sit close to a neighbour, we will talk about placement and acoustic options before it becomes a problem.
- Permits and zoning. Setbacks, rear yard coverage, fence height and electrical permits all apply differently by municipality. Better to know at the start.
- Drainage reality. If your site has a water problem, a court will not fix it and may make it more obvious. We price the fix rather than ignoring it.
- Resale value. A court adds value on a decent-sized lot. It usually does not return every dollar you put in. Anyone promising otherwise is selling.
Building Here
Why Ontario Courts Are Built Differently
Most of the pickleball construction information online is written for Florida, Arizona and California. Those methods do not survive here.
Two things make this region harder:
Freeze-thaw cycles
Peterborough goes through dozens of freeze-thaw cycles a year. Water gets into any opening, freezes, expands, and forces that opening wider. Every cycle makes it a little worse. That is why base depth, drainage and crack sealing matter far more here than they do in a warm climate.
Clay and mixed soils
A lot of ground in this county is clay, which swells when it is wet and shrinks when it dries. That movement telegraphs straight through a thin slab. The answer is a deeper compacted granular base, drainage that keeps water away from the subgrade, and reinforcement matched to the site.
None of this is exotic. It is just what building a court in central Ontario actually requires, and it is the difference between a court that looks great in year one and a court that still plays well in year fifteen.

Douro-Dummer, Warsaw, Norwood, Havelock, Apsley and Buckhorn. Rural acreage and waterfront properties here suit a court well, though soil and drainage conditions change a lot from lot to lot.
South & West
Millbrook, Cavan Monaghan, Keene, Bailieboro, Otonabee-South Monaghan, Omemee, Lindsay, Bobcaygeon and the wider City of Kawartha Lakes.
Northumberland & Beyond
Cobourg, Port Hope, Campbellford and Hastings. We take on work in these areas regularly, especially commercial builds and court resurfacing.
